freezerRoom return on August 12th with On The Surface Of It - the second single from their newest LP Fire On The Ocean which is due for release this coming winter.
Graham White and Rory Dempsey make up the freezerRoom duo, joined for this single by two of Ireland’s most outstanding vocalists Ray Scannell a Dublin based writer, performer, musician and Fish Go Deep's hit vocalist Tracey K. Some may remember Ray, Graham & Rory in a previous incarnation known as Cork band The Shades 1999 - 2005.
freezerRoom are based out of their studio hub in Monkstown, Co. Cork where Graham mans the controls. Rory is a full time bassist living in London where he works with the likes of the Heritage Orchestra and Goldie among others, as well as working from his own home studio.
freezerRoom have always been a band without borders. Files fly back and forth across the Irish sea between Graham and Rory until the song is fully formed. In keeping with this tradition of internationality Christian Eigner (Depeche Mode) recorded drums in Austria, Tracey K added backing vocals in Berlin and Rory roped in the string talents of some of his Heritage Orchestra friends in London to create a broader palette. The track was mastered by Andy Vandette in New York City.
On The Surface Of It will be released on the 12th of August on all digital formats and www.freezerroom.net
Give a little over 3 minutes of your time to have a listen to this beautifully crafted pop song.
Forthcoming LP Fire On The Ocean also includes guest vocals from Cork rising star Jack O'Rourke, Berlin's finest Clara Hill and the mighty Joe O'Leary of Levis Ballydehob so watch out for the future freezerRoom releases.
